Kristina Warner

Norwegian-American Historical Association
Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN
Kristina leads the Norwegian-American Historical Association’s preservation, digitization, and cataloging efforts. In her training, she focused on archives and records management, digital preservation, and digital asset management. She earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Her passion for digitization and digital preservation started when she worked with Wisconsin Library Services on an Institute of Museum and Library Services Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program grant called Curating Community Digital Collections (CCDC). In this position, she planned digital stewardship projects and increased the capacity of small libraries and cultural heritage organizations to curate their digital collections. She also worked in the University of Wisconsin archives, the archives of the Wisconsin Historical Society, and the library of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Kristina has a BFA in Books Arts, Painting, and Printmaking from the University of Wisconsin–Madison where she also dabbled in Performance and Installation Art. In her spare time, she loves to continue her passion for art with oil and encaustic painting, hiking with her two dogs, and fixing up her 1920s bungalow.
